Since i take so many photos all the time, i decided i wanted to invest in a new camera. And with Thailand fast approaching I thought it would be perfect time as there will be too many photo opportunities to miss.
But since i am no professional photographer i had NO idea where to start.
I wanted a camera with more ability than my Iphone and 100 year old digital camera that i still have, but one that i could actually kind of understand the functions on.
After being pointed in the direction of a Nikon or Canon by my friends housemate Harry Crowder (who by the way is an amazing photographer check him out!) I purchased the Canon Powershot SX500.
Admittedly i did rush a little into buying it, and when i received it- it was bigger than i expected. (Considering i want to take it travelling I needed something really compact).
In the meantime i had fallen in love (yes) with another camera.
The beauty that is the Fujifilm X10.
Teeny tiny in size for what it is aswell! (as you can see below)
My first lil snap.
Obviously I went round the house and took photos of everything and everyone… until i got really annoying.
But one member of the family loves having his photo taken and wasn’t complaining.
Whats left of the cupcakes myself and Steph made yesterday
Marshmallow in the middle choccy cupcakes!
The Toblerone mum bought me back from Jamaica this morning. Crunchy Almond flavour! YUM! Didn’t even know they existed!
Looking over the pictures i take of food it would seem i never eat anything healthy… but i do i do. It just doesn’t look so good!
But maybe my new camera will do it better justice…
Going to sit down later and read the User Manual that it came with so that i can use it to its full potential…
(weird- I don’t think i’ve actually ever read a user manual before)
I’m now ready to capture the Thai beaches in their full beauty. And maybe a cocktail or two 🙂
