So apparently I now have over 20,000 views on my blog!
That was a nice little surprise to wake up to- so thank you for all of you that continue to pop over here onto my blog 🙂
In other news, things have continued to be extremely busy this for me this week!
I usually have bits and bobs of free time to do fun things like…i dunno… bake, blog cool little hotspots/ yummy places to eat etc, but I have only just about found the time to sleep!
August is a b u s y one this year… But busy with all the right things 🙂
I did some more work on Cardinal Burns last weekend to finish of the filming for their second series which is out in the New Year. You can draw a parallel between them and the likes of Little Britain/Inbetweeners… so lots of toilet humour and immature boy jokes. I have to admit it is hilarious and makes it extremely fun to be on set!
This week I also got the ball rolling with my original material, which makes me extremely excited. Songwriting is something i’ve always been shy at and not done a lot of. But I continue to do it anyway and just tend to keep it to myself.
Deciding to simply get over my ‘shyness’, I took one of my songs to a friend who is also very talented in the studio (producing etc). We created a rough demo with one of my songs, laying a basic vocal and building the right sound for the track.
I have quite a particular vision, and I’m a girl that knows exactly what she wants.
I find it hard to describe my music/vision when people ask… apart from saying it’s a mix of Kodaline/ Imagine Dragons/ Bastille/ Gabrielle Aplin/ Hudson Taylor ALL put together.
Make sense?
I thought not. But anyway. The demo was my first step of making my vision reality, and I am SO excited to share it. So I’m going to write and write and write, and then, as of this week, plans are now in place record an EP in December. So I’m going to try my bestest to keep shtum and not share anything until then 🙂
Meanwhile, I’ll be posting lots of covers (homemade and studio) to listen to…
