The Vintage Cosmetics Company | Video Shoot | Behind the Scenes

Updated On 26th April, 2020

So last week I was part of an exciting new project with an exciting new cosmetics company.
Introducing…

They have just launched into Boots and were looking to launch a range of YouTube videos to demonstrate make up application and beauty regimes with the products they have to offer.
(At the moment… application brushes, strip lashes and accessories)
I was to be the guinea pig, but in somewhat nicer phrasing – the model for their new YouTube sessions.

I was working with the lovely MUA Lauren for this shoot 🙂

Lauren Alice – MUA and bblogger.
And Photographer Dan 🙂
Quite literally ‘a child in a sweetshop’ moment.
Eeeeee…all this make up! Girly HEAVEN.

Once I had picked up my jaw from the ground, we got to work on filming the 10 tutorials…

If I was to ever create a Cosmetics company and create packaging, i’m telling you it would look exactly like what they have created with The Vintage Cosmetics Company.

It’s got that really really pretty Laura Ashley come Cath Kidston flowery feel. Very girly, feminine and filled with all my favourite pastel colours.

10/10 for branding in my opinion- it got me sold before i even tried the products!

Now all the footage is in the editing process and hasn’t been released yet but I will be sure to blog and share them when they are published online!

What I can do is show you up closer some of the goodies they gave me…

I mean, how cute is the little bag aswell? 🙂

Lashes Lashes Lashes!

They have created profiles for different dolls/girls. So you have the Nancy lashes, the Kitty, the Betty, the Connie, the Minnie and the Gracie.
All to achieve different looks 🙂
Now I already wear Individual Eyelash Extensions and so I don’t really wear falsies on top.
However, in the shoot I applied them over the top and they enhanced my extensions for an EVEN more glamourous look.

However, before i discovered eyelash extensions i was a dedicated ‘Eylure’ lover (the falsies they sell in Boots) I think i wore the 080 set. I never found any others i liked and stuck religiously with those. However, (i’m not being paid to say this) these Vintage Cosmetic Company lashes are actually really beautifully designed and i’ve definitely found some new favourites.

My favourites in the collection have to be between the Connie and the Nancy.

Re-usable and with glue included; they retail at £6 each.

‘Cosmetic Clutch’

I am so happy to have been given this pretty little make up bag

1. Because i needed a new one.
+
2. Because floral make up bags are just my fav.

It’s boasts a really generous size so this is definitely one for general make up to pop in the handbag.
As you can see by my bedding (in the background), i love floral patterns and I love pink so I’m yet again a massive fan on their choice of design with this item.
‘Cosmetic Clutch’ Retailing at £16.50.

Now… I’m desperate to get my hands on some of their brushes and try them for myself. So by the time i do so, the YouTube tutorials should also be online and i will combine them in another blog post for you…

Until then, keep an eye out for The Vintage Cosmetic Company in local stores and join them for events/new products and promotions on their Facebook + Twitter.
