'Juice start your day' :) | All hail, Jason Vale.

Updated On 26th April, 2020

I honestly wouldn’t change a single thing that has happened to me this year. I’ve been so lucky to see so many places in the world, meet amazing people and do things i’ve only ever dreamt of before.

The only minor down side for me has been ‘the diet’.

South East Asia was all about the rice/pasta/noodles, and Greece + Spain was european foods, so pizza/cheeses/bread. Alongside all of this, many cocktails have been consumed and ice lollies eaten.

So after this carb and sugar filled diet I’ve had over the past 6 months I am feeling slightly ‘bloated’ and ready for a detox.

Luckily, my mum is an active ‘juicer’ and so we already have a Juice Machine… 🙂

Jason Vale is the ‘main man’ when it comes to juicing and he has published many booked on Detox’s and Recipes for smoothies and juices.
There is no right or wrong with juices really, and if you have one of his books you will know what weird and wonderful combinations he comes up with!
So this morning I decided to…
Juice Start the day 🙂
Ingredients:
5 Carrots, half a lime (peeled), ginger, 1/4 of a cucumber, 2 chopped golden delicious apples, 3 ‘handfuls’ of spinach.
If you have slightly more/less of something then it doesn’t matter.
Note: I used a generous amount of ginger, as it’s good for fighting off colds (and im currently fighting one off).

Apart from the peeled lime- no preparation needed.
You are ready to JUICE!

Once you have juiced all the fruit and veg that’s it – done!

My ingredients made me 3 glasses of juice.
1 for now. (when i wake up)
1 for lunch.
1 for tonight. (instead of snacking when it comes to 8pm tonight and im on the chocolate hunt!)

You may think they look weird and horrible?
That’s what I thought when i had my first juice, but they are no where near as bad as they look and the fact that you know it contains p u r e  goodness- makes it that much yummier.

This particular one give you a good kick up the bum to start your day (the ginger + lime) and will get you well on your way.

I had time to enjoy mine in the garden with the sunshine… and yes thats my dog rolling around in the back ground 🙂

How do you feel after drinking the juice?
Ask the lil buddha in the background…
🙂

This week my Mum is actually on The Juicy Oasis retreat in Portugal, one of the strings to Jason Vale’s Juicemaster empire, which seems to be taking over the world… slowly but surely.
I am extremely jealous, and with the thought of her coming back cleansed and healthy, this was my attempt to keep up.
Now after having my juice this morning and digging out the Jason Vale books, I have decided i’m going to go all out and do one of the 3 / 5 / 7 day detox’s this month.
Not sure which yet, i’ll let ya know.

P.s. the books are amazing…
they are colourful, full of amazing information on all the ingredients and tell you exactly what you should be eating and why!

You can get them here:
The Juice Master – Keeping It Simple
The Juice Master – Turbo-charge your life in 14 days

…and if you’re looking for a juicer, I used the Philips Juicer.
🙂

(Currently talking plans with mum about her holding retreats around here, perhaps for long weekends. She is a qualified yoga teacher, active health freak (love you mum) and knows her stuff. I know i would certainly be the first to sign up! Watch this space.)
