Ideas for a Christmas Day Out in London
After spending my last Christmas sipping fresh coconuts and lazing in the sunshine on Byron Bay, i feel well over due a Christmas.
I’m talking, a proper English Christmas.
In my opinion, there is nowhere that does it quite like England, London if we are being particular.
The extravagant street lights and decoration, the hustle and bustle of late christmas shoppers, chestnut stands waivring their scent through the crisp cold air down into the tube stations and those gorgeous christmas days out we plan with our loved ones.
Those are my favourite.
Without being a Londoner it can be hard to know the right places to go.
So i’ll share my research with you and give you a helping hand.
Grab your friend, your boyfriend, your mum or your grandparents, find a date in your calendar and head up for some festivity!

1. Royal Albert Hall Christmas Festival
Join Raymond Gubbay’s series of festive sing alongs and musical spectacles at the iconic Royal Albert Hall this December.
No better way to get in the spirit than with thousands singing you favourite Christmas Classic.
2. Christmas blow out comedy at hammersmith

3. Grab tickets for the West End & dinner
Whether it’s a festive pantomime (see pantos in London here) or a Musical – heading to the west end is nothing short of inspiring. Sing along to your favourite tunes, or escape into a magical daydream as you watch some of the most talented performers do their thang.
My fav’s / recommendations:
– Wicked The Musical (Book / see Official website here) – A magical mixture of comedy and tragedy which has left me speechless both times I’ve seen it. The faultless visuals and the incredible performances by the cast are second to none. Wicked does the West End proud.
– Mamma Mia – A guaranteed fun night out. Dance, sing and embrace the energy that flies off the stage in abundance. An Abba-fuelled classic. (P.s. my best friend Louise is in it!)
– The Lion King – simply epic
– Elf – this ones next on my list… simply because it’s christmas.
