Mother’s Day through my dog’s eyes… “WOOF WOOF!”

 Hey, it’s Ollie!
Otherwise known as ‘monkey’.
I’ve offered to write today because it’s Mother’s Day and I’m nice like that. Mum (Mollie) deserves a rest!
So, what did I get up to to prepare for Mother’s Day?
Yesterday, there I was, sitting quite happily and having a little snooze. And then, in comes Mum, gives me a quick cuddle and then takes me to the kitchen with the promise of treats… She knows me too well. I’ll do anything for a treat!
She was holding a plate – a big, round thing that usually has food that I’m not allowed to eat on – so I was pretty excited. My tail was wagging like mad! But, when she put it down, I had a lil sniff, and it smelled funny. Not so exciting, after all.
I already thought she was crazy for putting that weird stuff on the plate… but then she made me put my paw in it… what?! The red stuff was pretty cold and slimy, and then I had to put my paw on a card and it made a pretty pattern. The fun bit was making the pattern again on the kitchen floor. Mum was a bit worried it’d get on the carpet… but she caught me just in time, and gave me a treat too. Win for her, win for me.
Little did Mum know… Grandma had already made me do the same thing for Mum’s card! Great minds think alike, and more treats and cuddles for me.
But I managed to keep it a secret and surprised her in bed this morning.
Grandma even tucked some tulips into my collar to give her! Cute![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][mk_fullwidth_slideshow images=”8971,8972,8973″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][mk_fullwidth_slideshow images=”8974,8975,8977,8976″][/vc_column][vc_column][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1557090881128{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]
Then Mum, Grandma and Uncle J went to Browns in Windsor, and they left me alone for AGES… I just about coped without the treats I could have had, and enjoyed a nice nap on my comfy stairs spot.
They woke me up when they got back – I acted less than impressed, but secretly enjoyed the cuddles they gave me. It wasn’t long before they collapsed on the sofa watching TV – looks like I won’t be getting a walk anytime soon. So I’m going to try and have another snooze.
