Phuket

Next up was Phuket, and we headed to Patong Beach.
We has been told it was a little seedy here, a bit like Bangkok. Literally as you walk down the Main Street there are a line of Thais with leaflets in hand ready to attack.

You are bombarded with Thais offering massages, suits, tuk tuks and tickets to ping pong shows (I won’t explain, google it). But it is also meant to be where everyone is.
We filled our tummies (main priority as usual)

and then headed for a drink to explore the fuss.

Obviously a non alcoholic beverage seeing as I’m still taking antibiotics for my monkey bite…
Next day we had to find a hospital to get my second post bite rabies jab, which was easy enough and cost only 700baht this time (about £15).
We are only in Phuket for a couple of nights and to be honest nothing really appealed to us to do.
There was the standard elephant rides and tours (standard to us now yes) and then beaches and tourist shops and stalls.
Forgive us Thailand, we love you but there are only so many icecreams you can eat, massages you can have and elephants you can ride:-).
However we did treat ourself to a night out at the famous Fantasea, Phuket before heading down to Malaysia in the morning…
(had to hand cameras in before we entered but I managed to sneak my phone in and take a lil photo)
