Dinner at The Bloomsbury Hotel, London

Okay so the weather SUCKS atm.
If you want a reminder of what the sun looks like, come cry with me at my Gili Islands blog post. I’m SO READY FOR SUMMER (or a holiday!).
Anyhow, despite the constant storms, look how BEAUTIFUL the sky was this week in London…

… naturally, I got distracted by the shops on Oxford Street, and what seemed like moments later – the sky had faded into this beautiful Navy colour!

The reason I was actually in London was because I had been invited to an ‘Absolut Buble Evening’ at The Bloomsbury Hotel.
I decided to wear a playsuit that I purchased a couple of weeks ago, which I LOVE.
The Hotel is actually a short walk from Tottenham Courd Rd Tube, right next to the British Museum (where I did the Jones + Jones Shoot earlier this week).

As I walked into the grand entrance I was overwhelmed by a beautiful scent and beautifully dimmed lighting both of which were very welcoming…

I met the lovely girls I was spending the evening with in the Reception where we had a quick drink before heading down to the Bar / Restaurant.
We were given some Rose Petal Martinis to sample which were to be on offer for Valentines Day and London Fashion Week.
Apart from being absolutely beautiful to look at, they were lined with peach schnapps (i love) and went down rather smoothly.
As we sipped our cocktails we browsed over the Set Menu. If that wasn’t enough temptation we were also given the option of the Main Menu to choose from.
As we all ummed and arred about our decisions, we dug into some warm bread and were serenaded by Mr.Buble.

We finally decided what we were going to eat, and were then given a sharing platter to start us all off!

Before we were even given a chance to even think we were thirsty, we were given the cocktail menu to choose from.
It was a close call between the Mojito and the Cosmopolitan but I went for the minty option.
Once again, so beautifully presented.

ARE YOU READY? Here’s the mains…
(we all chose from the main menu)
Perthshire beef fillet, spinach with Stilton, balsamic shallots, potato sauce.
Steak with Triple Cooked Chips.
Lime cured Tuna and sesame roll salad, quail egg, micro cress.
And as for me…
Pan fried Welsh valley Lamb rump, goat’s cheese and herb crust, port sauce, with a side of butternut squash topped with parmesan.

The flavours involved with every mouthful were nothing short of incredible.

We had a feast fit for a king and I was overwhelmed with beautiful flavours and surroundings.

None of us could squeeze in a pudding however as we had coffees and finished off our cocktails we were presented with a selection of macaroons…
Aside from the Coconut Macaroons i posted last week, I’ve never had an actual macaroon macaroon.
So I dug deep and found room to try a vanilla one 🙂

As if we hadn’t been spoilt enough, the waiter bought us all a B52 (Bailey’s based).

I thorough enjoyed the food, service, company and general atmosphere. I would never previously have thought to come here for dinner but it’s perfect for date night or if you want to wine and dine someone somewhere thats a little more special.
You can check out their website here where you can see their menus, hotel rooms, location etc.
OR join them on Facebook where you can stay up to date with their events, musical evenings, and offers!
Thank you Bloomsbury Hotel.
