VIDEO: A 5 day backpacker tour in the Australian Outback
Join me in my Australian outback video as I head into the Northern Territory for the first time to discover Uluru with Topdeck travel.
At the beginning of 2018, I stepped out on their 5-day tour to review the ‘Uluru Discovery’ trip. See my Uluru Discovery guide here.
It was a welcome contrast to the beachy, green landscapes that now feel like a second home on the East Coast. Out here in the outback it’s hot, it’s vast and it offers a completely different backpacker experience.
Heading to the Red Centre can seem a bit of a mission and the dollar bills can certainly add up if you do it solo. For that reason and to save you the long, early morning drives to get between hotspots and avoid the midday heat, I’d highly recommend a tour. If you’re a backpacker, I can highly recommend this one. See my full, honest review of the tour in this blog post.
Not only will a trip to the Australian outback give you the chance to see the big rock (Uluru) in all it’s glory, you’ll get to discover the lesser known (but in my opinion more mind-blowing) gems that are Kata Tjuta and Kings Canyon.
See my experience come to life in my Australian outback video…
