Udderbelly Festival, Southbank

Hellooooooo!

Finally, I’m back with a hotspot to share with y’alllll!

So last week I hopped up to London to meet a couple of my friends after they finished work for something to eat and a drink or two in the sun.

Dungarees – River Island

We were planning to try out a rooftop bar in Trafalgar Sq, but we were welcomed by this bunch of bananas (below) and of course the rooftop bar was fully booked…

This was pretty cool though – marking the start of the World Cup in Brazil 🙂
Dancers, singers, market stalls and music in the sun.
‘Que, my childish sense of humour…’
Anyway, Food/ drinks in Trafalgar Sq. were an obvious no no, so after having my photo taken with the wonderful Brazil team we headed off elsewhere.
First we walked to DubJam in Covent Garden where we had some AWESOME rum punches, Pina Coladas, beach burgers and sweet potato chips. (View my DubJam review here).
Then we headed to the real deal. The star of the show.
THE UDDER BELLY FESTIVAL on Southbank

This is the 6th year the festival has come to Southbank and I can’t believe I’ve missed it all this time! This is why you can never get bored of London, there is just so much waiting for you to discover!

Yeah but WHAT IS IT i hear y’all ask?
Udder belly is a UK-based entertainment company running festivals and events all over the country.
Here at Southbank they have put on an 8 week extravaganza filled with comedy, circus and all around entertainment.
You can head there for food (lots of yummy stalls), buy tickets for a show (comedians, circus shows etc) a drink in the sun (like we did!) OR combine all 3 and have a BALL.

There is no better combination to a sunny evening than a jug of Pimm’s and 2 of your best pals.

So that was that. Cheers! 🙂

There are a selection of places to sit and chill out.
As you walk in there are benches and bark chippings under some twinkly lights…

There is the central food court area with a priceless view of the London eye…
And where we sat there was a Waltzer Fun fair type set up, which I thought was super cuteee!
The festival is on for 4 more weeks – so I’ve found it just in time!
You don’t have to book or pay to go in for food and drink but if you fancy watching a show then click on this link to see what’s on and book a ticket!
It’s a 2 minute walk from Waterloo station (as you can see it’s right beside the London eye).
I’ll be back for sure, it’s a PERFECT summer set up!
