SeƱor Ceviche, Kingly Court Soho
After dining at the Peruvian dream that isĀ Andina in Shoreditch a few weeks back, I was instantly converted to the Peruvian way of doing things… and so when the invitation to sample the dishes at SeƱor Ceviche came along – i was right there.
Their fresh perspective on flavour, the unusual combinations in the dishes and the introduction to weird and wonderful ingredients you don’t get in your friday night take out.
So my first impressions were positive and my expectations were high for the next Peruvian dining experience to come my way.
It came in the form of SeƱor Ceviche, a Peruvian hotspot hidden within Kingly Court, a haven just a step off of Carnaby Street in Soho.
We were welcomed into the airy, chilled vibes of the restaurant by a lovely waitress who showed us to our window side seat and guided us through the menus.
Ā
The idea of the menu is to choose a tapas of dishes – the perfect set up for any indecisive individual like myself. It also makes for a very flexible dining experience, be it a snack or a full blownĀ chichaĀ outing.
{Chicha? it’s a Lima thing. It means playful or cheeky.}
We went on to order a variety of dishes and cocktails to share, avoiding all risk of food envy and ordering regret.
Here’s what we went for:Ā
Ā The menu is ever changing here at SeƱor Ceviche but you can see the current menu here.
I can honestly say, the food lived up to the high standards Andina set with each dish beingĀ cookedĀ and designed to perfection.
SeƱor Ceviche restaurant is the perfect option for a light lunch / dinner particularly to break up a day of shopping or exploring London as it won’t leave you feeling too heavy and sluggish (unless you order 10 plates for yourself).
I would also name it the perfect spot for a social hangout with a group of friends as it’s not too formal but there enough of an atmosphere to wear something nice, grab some cocktails and some sharing dishes.
We dined mid week at lunchtime and the vibes were super chilled – but I can only assume by the yummy food and cocktails that this place gets a little busier by evening.
SeƱor Ceviche is open Monday – Sunday {YAY} but with opening times varying by day.
Thank you for reading!
