Where Am I Going Next? My 4 Month Solo Adventure

Updated On 19th June, 2018

BIG ADVENTURE?

WHAT’S THE BIG ADVENTURE?

I am heading out on a 4-month solo adventure TODAY… Sunday 23rd October!

This trip will be the longest time I’ve ever spent away from home, and the very first time I will be embarking on an adventure all by myself {aside from a 3-day trip to Belgium I did back in Feb}.

WHERE’S THE BIG ADVENTURE TAKING ME?

Where do I begin? Seriously.

I honestly have to pinch myself when I recite this itinerary to people and here I am in disbelief once more.

I will be travelling to 6 different countries and hopping on 16 flights over 136 days.

The next 4 months will be a mixture of work projects and leisure. I will be focusing on creating incredible and helpful content to share with you guys to help you access places you would never have had the courage to go to.

If there are any questions you have about backpacking / travelling, or content you’d like to request for the countries below, leave me a comment and I will make note. 🙂

I will be travelling on a budget, as I usually do, and I will be using saved money from projects this year to help fund this experience. On top of that, I will be working with companies and tourist boards on content and campaigns along the way.

My 4-month itinerary…

LONDON

Today, 23rd October, I will be departing my homeland to chase the sun around to the other side of the world…

NORTH ISLAND OF NEW ZEALAND

I will land in Auckland and embark on a 10 day planned itinerary with New Zealand Tourism.

For the first 5 days I will be self driving and showing you around the Northland…

…and for the following 5 days I will be joining back on the legendary Kiwi Experience and returning to the backpacker life that I love.

I then have around 12 days to play with {based in Auckland}, and I will be working on content captured from the 10 previous days.

I quite fancy checking out Waiheke Island and Raglan over my 12 days of free time, with a possibility of flying 3 hours to Fiji or down to Queenstown for a couple of days. I’m going to leave myself the freedom here to make it up though and see what I fancy.

AUSTRALIA

I then fly from Auckland to Brisbane where I land in my FAVOURITE COUNTRY for 6.5 weeks of sunshine, beaches and good times.

Here I will be taking on the popular East Coast Backpacker route again.

I will be touching on some new territory {for me} and revisiting some old territory with new eyes {different tours}.

In doing so, I will be collaborating with my friend who runs ratpacktravel.com {a backpacker adventure specialist} and I will be reviewing a load of their incredible tours to show you guys exactly why you need to get your butts over to this side of the world!

IF YOU’RE BOOKING TRIPS IN AUSTRALIA NOW, YOU CAN USE ‘MOLLIE10’ on ratpacktravel.com for 10% discount 🙂

I will then slow down and switch off a little bit in December.

Over the course of the month I will make my way spontaneously from the Gold Coast down to Sydney where I will end up for New Year.

On New Year’s Day I will be dancing in 2017 at Field Day Festival, Sydney!

On the 3rd Jan I then head to Melbourne for the very first time to explore and here I’d like to hire a car for a day and head to the Great Ocean Road.

INDONESIA

On the 8th January I will depart Melbourne to Indonesia for a month, landing first in Bali. I aim to spend only a short time there before uncovering more of the Asian spectacle.

I have no further plans yet.

PHILIPPINES

On 31st January I will land in Manilla and that is all I know so far.

JAPAN

Mid way through my month in the Philippines I will be flown out to Japan with GoPro to embark on a once in a lifetime week of powder, adventure and memories. I can’t even get excited about this yet because I have so much to do first, but OH MY GOD THIS WILL BE OFF THE SCALE.

JUST YOU WAIT.

PHILIPPINES

I will then return to the Philippines {to recover} and enjoy a last week of content creation in this stunning corner of the world.

LONDON

At the end of February I will return to London for… a couple of days.

I will give my family and friends the biggest hug in the world before flying out for another project.

MOROCCO

3rd-6th March takes me to Beyond Sahara in Morocco where I will be singing an acoustic set under the stars one evening at the 3 day festival bonanza.

In all seriousness. You need to check this festival out… takemebeyond.co.uk/sahara

HOW INCREDIBLE DOES THAT SOUND?! I think you should get tickets and join me. {Plus you can watch me sing!}

LONDON

I will then be returning to London in the second week of March and so far, the rest of 2017 is a blank canvas!

THAT’S what my next 4 months looks like.

OH MY GAAAAAAD.

Here we go!

On a side note…

How GORGEOUS is the new world map I got for my bedroom!!

A few of you have been asking, so here’s where I got it from – www.mapsinternational.co.uk.

It’s the most perfect Christmas present for a travel lover right?! I’ve used it to pin everywhere I’ve travelled so far! 🙂

{P.s. Mine is a Classic Pinboard map in the largest size – shop here}
