An exclusive overnight stay at The Curtain, Shoreditch with Booking.com

The Curtain is one of London’s biggest hotel openings this year, having opened just four weeks ago (22nd May). It is the latest addition to the wealth of choice available to you when you plan your trip on booking.com.

In celebration, booking.com sent me to go and check it out and share the magic with you. And magic it was indeed.

Prepare yourself…

A hotel is a hotel though, right? The more you pay the better the bed sheets, the comfier the pillows and the more exotic the fruits on the breakfast spread…

Wrong.

It goes without saying that the bed sheets were like silk, the pillows and duvet melted around me and the breakfast fruits transported you to a tropical island. But this hotel went way beyond that.

My recent stay at The Curtain, a brand new members’ club on Curtain Road, Shoreditch, really did prove that splashing out can deliver a totally unique, not-going-to-forget-that-anytime-soon experience.

But you don’t have to be a member to enjoy this property and all its lavish offerings. You can book online here with booking.com from £196 per night and grab yourself the dreamiest of dreamy getaways.

The Curtain would be the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion or to treat someone you love to a truly indulgent experience, in every sense of the word.

I felt truly spoilt by the iconic artwork, flawless hospitality and all around comfort. From the moment I stepped through the revolving doors to the moment I left, The Curtain oozed impeccable style.

Most of all, it was the attention to detail in this Manhattan-style, warehouse-living hotel that has left it amongst my favourite hotel stays ever.

I mean, have you ever stayed in a hotel room where the marble shower unit doubles up as a steam room?

Have you ever scraped honey straight from the comb at breakfast to add to your honey-baked granola and creamy Greek yoghurt alongside your coconut milk cappuccino?

Or, have you ever taken a Monday morning dip in a heated pool overlooking the city with a glass of freshly squeezed green juice, getting your daily vitamins from both the sun and the greens?

Have you ever stayed in a hotel room with USB plugs, a gorgeous cream leather marshall amp on the bedside, or a concoction of the best alcohol and spirits with a cocktail recipe on hand for you to follow?

I certainly hadn’t. But I have now and I suggest you get around it.

The Curtain gives you endless opportunities to revel in luxury, and by the time you go, you’ll wish you had booked sooner.

If you manage to get out of bed early enough and you can resist the rooftop terrace breakfast indulgence, there’s a 24-hour gym and spa in the basement to use. New York acclaimed chef Marcus Samuelsson has even bought his famous southern soul food to Shoreditch in Red Rooster, which sits on the ground floor of the hotel (also accessible to the public, not just guests and members). That, or you can enjoy an alfresco dinner {where breakfast is also served} on the rooftop, looking out to the pool and over the city.

If, like me, you then find one stay is simply not enough… The Curtain is a creative members’ club and can offer you so much more via their membership.

For the most of us, one night will be truly indulgent enough.

Do it for me. Book yourself in!
