Bottomless brunch at Florentine in Lambeth, London
When summer begins to kick in, there’s not much that beats finishing the working week, reaching Sunday and putting your feet up. And by up, I mean UP.
Add an avocado and fluffy Nutella pancakes to your brunch, fruity alcohol infused summer punch on tap and absolutely no shopping or washing up and you have yourself a real day of rest.
You have yourself The Florentine, a brand new restaurant and bar located a few minutes walk from Waterloo station in London.
I headed down with my Mum and Grandma for an 11am Sunday brunch this weekend and it was utterly glorious. The daylight shone through the large glass windows and lit up every crevice of this trendy interior, but more importantly the beautiful faces I was in the company of.
We begun with some almond milk cappuccinos and shared a few bowls of fresh fruit granola and berries alongside some Nutella and banana pancakes.
A few conversations down and after putting a lot of the world to rights, we tucked into the real deal.
I went for the spinach and goats cheese egg white omelette with a side of smoked salmon, whilst Mum went for the avocado and poached eggs on toast and Grandma went for the ham and cheese omelette.
You know how it is, when the food’s THAT good, the table goes silent. Conversation soon picked up when the second jug of Beefeater gin punch was poured. The cocktail was nothing short of refreshing – the type of drink you could just drink like juice. Dangerous when it’s bottomless. 😉
Why should you head to the Florentine?
The Florentine offers the highest quality food, presented in gorgeous dishware whilst sat amongst an elegant seating environment. What really took me though was the low price at which they offer the latter. Take a look at the menu here. You really do feel indulgent coming here but it’s not going to break the bank. Add on their emphasis and schedule of live music and DJ’s that play here and the vibe really does hit the ultimate summer feeling. If you want to enjoy the live music vibes then head down in the evenings or weekends to enjoy.
